In July I went to visit Darla and Lynn in Winona. Darla drove all the way from Wyoming, and had scheduled lots of friends. We stayed together in the hotel. I got there in the evening of the 26th. Here's the view I always see first, Sugarloaf!
We went out and had supper. The next day we stopped at Bloedow's Bakery for a treat.
After that we hiked up to Sugarloaf. Here's the new trailhead on the north side.
It was so fun! Made us feel like kids.
That night we had reservations at Sullivan's with Lynn. We sat by the window close to where Darla always sat with her Dad.
On the 28th Lynn had to work, and Darla and I went up to Wabasha and had lunch at Slippery's (of Grumpy Old Men movie fame).
We also went shopping in Lake City, but didn't take any pictures there. That evening we had dinner at Lynn's and she gave us a ride in their 4-wheeler so we could see her farm.
The next day we met Lynn for lunch at the Green Mill, and then I went back home. Lynn always gets a giant Bloody Mary.
