Not sure when these were taken, but for sure before the chicken coop remodel, and new siding.

The Old Corn Planter

Louie was so disappointed when a part on the old horse-drawn corn planter broke.  He remembers sitting on his Uncle Louie's lap and working with this.

Geese

Our geese don't fly south anymore.  They just eat half the crops all summer, and chicken feed all winter!  And they LOVE grass!

This guy has a broken wing, so Louie lets him eat chicken feed.

Christmas Cactus from Denmark

When my Grandma was young, in South Dakota, she received a Christmas cactus clipping folded in a letter she received from a cousin she corresponded with back in Denmark.  She thought it was dead, but stuck it in some dirt and it GREW!  Years later, it was huge, and she gave my mom a clipping to start.  (She also gave lots of other family members clippings too.)  Years after that, my Mom's Christmas cactus was huge.  Here's a picture. (In real life, it's more pink than this.)

Mom gave this big one to Pandora, who started a clipping for me.  It was started in a two-inch pot, smaller than this one:

Five years later, mine is getting bigger too!  I have had to repot it three times already.  Now in 2019 it looks like this:

Hawk Got a Chicken

This time Louie actually fought off the hawk!!

Even the driveway is perfect.

And even the garage is organized!
